Principle, Jai Cole, is a contributing writer to the Center of Exhibition and Industry Research Guru Reports and she writes a series of reports on Greening Face-to-Face www.ceir.org. She is also a member of the IAEE International Association of Expositons and Events committee for the greening of expos and events and speaks on this topic at conferences.
We work with our exposition suppliers of decor and logistics and our venue and exhibitors to ensure that we are keeping our show carbon footprint as low as possible. This is more than recycling, it using less paper , plasic water bottles and concern about the issues surrounding chemicals used in printing inks etc. Carpet, draperies can all be reused and recycled. Keeping up with new ideas and products and avoiding green-washing is important if we are to keep the environment we live in safe for future generations. Jai Cole, CEM
