The Internet has never been more dangerous than today; eCrime in business and government continues to rise and Gary Warner is the leading expert in Anti-Phishing and web attacks. He will discuss national and regional ecrime trends and individual case studies about resolving specific electronic crime cases , and will present best practices businesses need to know.
Warner specializes in security, phishing and network intrusion. He is frequently sought out to assist with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the FBI. Warner also consults for the APWG (Anti-Phishing Working Group), whose members include Wal-Mart, ING, Kaspersky Lab, eBay, Yahoo!, VISA, and Microsoft.
Gary Warner serves as the Director of Research in Computer Forensics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In this position, he focuses the attention and resources of the Computer Science and Justice Sciences on the problems faced by CyberCrime Investigators in Law Enforcement and elsewhere.
With a 20 year career in Information Technology, Warner has served as IT Director for a publicly traded Energy company for nine years prior to arriving at UAB. For the past six years Warner has been active in the FBI's InfraGard program, and has served as local chapter President, SouthEast Regional Coordinator, and on the National Board.He has also served on the national board of the Energy ISAC.
He currently serves as a Microsoft Security MVP, and has been recognized by FBI Director Robert Mueller for "Exceptional Service in the Public Interest" and received the IC3 and NCFTA's Partnership Award "In recognition of his outstanding support in the ongoing battle against cyber crime". In 2006 he received the "Outstanding Alumni Award" from his alma mater, the UAB School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

Three Steps to Simplifying the SR&ED Process to Earn Tax Credits.
Organizations that are innovative and resourceful will see the benefits of a returning economy. To that end constant enhancements, changes must be made to existing products and processes including the development of new ones. It is very likely that you qualify for the SR&ED (Scientfic Research & Experimental Development) Tax Credit.

Since 1994, Daid has been a frequent lecturer of R&D tracking methodologies to both professional accounting bodies and industry research personnel. His primary focus is providing scientific and development personnel with simple but effective tools to document and augment their research efforts.
Currently, David is team leader of the Hamilton and St. Catharines area SR&ED practitioners' group, representng professionals from the accounting, legal and scientific professions all of whom are engaged n the pracctice of SR&ED tax credit claim preparation, this group continuously makes representations to Ottawa whenever the opportunities arise to enhance the SR&ED legislation for the benefit of all taxpayers
